História Precious Blood - Pick Me Up

Rose's POV
Finally work is over and I can head home.

"So Rose, how was your first day?" I heard a voice ask.

I lifted my head up from the table and saw Rinnosuke, my boss, smiling down at me.

I immediately straightened up to stand but he placed a hand on my shoulder, motioning me to remain seated.

"It was great. I'm glad I joined." I said with a small smile.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll be taking my leave now. See you later Rose." Rinnosuke said and stood up, leaving.

"Oh Mann... What a tiring day." Akio said as he plopped down on the couch.

I just chuckled and shook my head. I went to the change room and changed back into my casual clothes, ready to leave. I bid goodbye to everyone and was waiting outside for Subaru to arrive.

"So, you liked your job huh?" I heard a voice behind me.

I saw Akio looking at me with a gentle smile. I nodded my head and smiled back at him.

"Hey, you know? You're really pretty." He suddenly said and I blushed.

I looked down at my feet, still blushing when I felt myself be engulfed in a warm hug. My eyes widened when I realized that Akio was actually hugging me.

I closed my eyes and gently hugged him back. I don't know why but I felt so safe in his arms that I didn't want to leave. But our moment was cut short when I felt Akio being ripped apart from me.

I looked up and saw Daisuke with a face full of rage. I looked at Akio worriedly and he just shook his head.

"I'll see you tomorrow then, my dear Rose." He said as he winked at me.

I smiled and waved him goodbye.

As soon as the guys left, a car came and stopped right in front of me.

"Hey Rose." Subaru greeted me from inside.

I got into the car and greeted him back. We were sitting in comfortable silence until he spoke up.

"So, how was work?" He asked.

"It was pretty good." I replied simply as I looked at him.

'He's handsome.'

"I know but thank you." He suddenly said with a smile.

"Did I say that out loud?" I whispered and he placed a hand on my thigh.

I tensed up.

"Relax. I won't do anything without your permission. I'm sorry." He said as he looked at me.

"Sorry for what?" I asked and he took his off of my thighs.

"For kissing you. It was necessary and Shuu was too much of a pussy to do it." He said, making me chuckle.

"It's fine. I'm glad that it was you." I said as looked at my hands.

"Subaru?" I called out and he hummed back.

"That was my first." I said shyly.

"I'm glad." He said and focused back on the road.

We reached home and he told me to get ready. I went up to my room and quickly did my routine and changed. We had dinner and we were ready.

We met back downstairs when it was ready to leave and Yui had finished changing and we all piled into the limo.

"Sit next to me." Subaru said as he wanted me to sit near the window.

"Okay." I said in a small voice and took my seat.

To my right was the window and to my left was Subaru.

"Why do you get to sit next to her?" Shuu suddenly speaks up.

"Because I actually do make her feel safe unlike you." Subaru retorted.

"What the fuck?!" Shuu shouted and Subaru was about to say something when I stopped him.

He held my cheeks in his hands and brought my forehead in contact with his. I could practically feel his breath on my face. He smelt so good.

He let go of my cheeks and turned, sitting straight. He laid his head on my shoulder and took my hand in his. He closed his eyes and drifted off to dream land.

I smiled looking at him and sweeped his hair off of his face. I looked outside the window for the rest of the ride, not realizing the glares of Shuu and Reiji towards Subaru.

When we finally reached school, I hoped out of the limo and was heading to my friends waiting for me but was pulled back by a grip on my wrist.

I lost my balance and fell on someone. The person caught me and steadied me. It was Subaru. He leaned down into my ear and whispered.

"I'll see you after school, my Rose." He whispered and kissed my cheek.

I blushed furiously. I looked at him and he looked back at me expectantly. I understood what he was getting at and blushed again as I got on my tippy - toes and kissed his cheek.

As soon as I kissed his cheek, I rushed towards my friends who started asking me questions without giving me time to answer.

'What are you doing to me Subaru? Why do you make me feel this way?'

Subaru's POV
After Rose kissed me on my cheek and rushed off, I could feel Shuu's and Reiji's eyes burning holes into the back of my head.

"Aww.. He's taken by Rose."

"She totally deserves him though. She's so pretty!"

"They make such a cute couple."

"I hope they're dating and if not I want them to date soon.

"Wahhhhh... They're so cute together."

"They're literally made for each other." I heard the girls and guys around us talk and smiled.

As we entered the building and I was going to my class, Shuu yanked my hand and grabbed me by the collar. I looked behind him to see the rest of the guys looking at us casually. The hallway was mostly empty because the first class started.

"What are you playing at Subaru?" Shuu sneered and I just scoffed.

"You know she's mine Shuu. I'm not playing at anything." I said with a smirk.

He lifted his hand, made it into a fist and punched me. I fell to the ground and Ayato was beside me, helping me up.

"What the hell Shuu?!" He said and I looked at him.

He never usually supports me. We never really got along.

"It was his fucking fault! He was trying to get me jealous!" Shuu yelled and came to punch me again when Ayato stopped him.

"He was not trying to get you jealous. He genuinely likes the girl and I think she likes him back too so don't force yourself onto her." Laito said.

With a click of his tongue, Shuu looked elsewhere.

"You're bleeding. Let's get you to the infirmary." Ayato said and I pulled my hand from his grip.

"Don't even try that Subaru." He forcefully grabbed my hand and dragged me to the nurse.

I was limping on the way because I sprained my ankle when I fell. The nurse treated me and suggested that I stay in the infirmary till the break at least and I agreed. The rest of the brothers stayed back too, including Shuu which was a big surprise. Guess they didn't want to attend any classes.

It was eventually break time and I was getting ready to leave when the door to the infirmary opened and Rose stepped in. She looked at me with worry and greeted the nurse before coming to me.

She looked at my leg which was bandaged up and looked at me with sadness evident in her eyes as if she is feeling my pain.

I opened my arms wide and she ran into them. I swear Rose gives some of the best hugs in the entire freaking world.

"Are you okay?" She asked me with her soft voice as we pulled away from the hug.

"I'm totally fine, Rose." I said with a smile.

She looked towards Shuu and walked towards him, stopping right in front.

"Why?" She suddenly asked.

"It's all because of you." Shuu said with a click of his tongue and marched out of the room.

Rose looked shocked and sad. My eyes widened and I got off of the bed, walking towards my sensitive flower. I placed a hand on her shoulder and she turned around, tears rolling down her cheeks.

"I-I didn't m-mean to. I-I'm sorry." She sobbed and I pulled her into my chest once again, soothing her.

The other brothers helped me calm her down and she finally did. It breaks my heart to see her cry. Laito and Ayato's bickering made the beauty laugh. Her laugh is so contagious.

'You will regret this Shuu. So fucking much.'
