História Table for three - Scene 2. Cassy arrives

When came the day Cassy would arrive, we went to da supermarket e grabbed some itens for the dinner. We would have pasta and wine, simple as that. After I left the office, I picked up Lavinia at her work place and we went to wait for Cassy at the airport.

She arrived radiant with happiness. It had been a long time since we had seen each other and the three of us hugged each other tightly. It was good to have a real friendly face around!

She looked beautiful wearing high heels, an elegant white blouse, and a knee-length skirt. And smelling... how good she smelled! That perfume was just right, very floral, but with a sensual woody touch.

I took her suitcase, put it in the car and we talked animatedly all the way to our apartment. She told me that she was coming to the city to work as a consultant for a chemical company, then told me some stories about where she lived, and that she hoped that this partnership here in the city would work out, because it would be a great opportunity for her company. She also mentioned it was hard to have time for relationships with the amount of work she had.

We arrived and went to the kitchen. We opened a pinot noir to start and talked about travel, avoiding political issues, and reminiscing about our university days. Dinner was served and we opened a fine cabernet sauvignon that Lavinia and I had brought back from our last trip to Europe. The joyful moment matched a special bottle.

But the conversation was about to heat up...
