"That's So cool, Kara!", a teenage boy beamed happily, his pearly white teeth flashing. "Mom hates these type of things, and I don't have many friends that find 'nerdy' things interesting", the boy's smile died down a bit as his eyes met a pair of blue clear ones. "Dad's more of a...sporty kind of guy"

Kara smiled brightly, "I see, well, Now you have someone willing to get a little dirty for some Science experiment, Buddy.", she grinned as she picked an earth worm up with her finger, it wiggled around.

Carter grinned once again, "Oh man! that's a big one!", the boy gaped as he laughed out, a transparent container in his grasp, he reached out with it, "Kara, Kara, put it in! I wanna freak mom out with it!"

Kara laughed out and did what the boy wanted, oh how she found herself doing whatever the teenager wanted, she had grown rather fond of him, and by the way the boy expressed himself around her, he too had grown comfortable around her. He was always so intrigued by science related things, he was smart and respectful, and for a human, Kara felt that the boy could possibly grow up to be a briliant light among the race, she felt that Carter, would be one of of the few Humans to actually be able to make a difference in the world.

Kara saw herself in him sometimes, that's also another reason why she had grown attached to him.

"Now, Now, Carter, Ms. Grant'll take it out on me if you freak her out too badly.", the blonde chuckled as she and the boy both got up from the soil that surrounded the park, she dusted her pants, she noticed small grass stains on her knees, she sighed softly.

The teen also seemed to have stained his jeans, he shrugged it off, "It's for science, Mom won't kill us if we come a little dirty"

Kara rolled her eyes, "She won't kill you, but she'll definitely kill me", the blonde chuckled, She knew Cat would never scold her son too harshly, rather, Cat seemed to scold Kara more than anything, and it was pretty funny.

Carter grinned, "You know what, I have this science presentation at school, I was wondering if maybe you'd want to come! It'll be a public thing, Me and three of my classmates were picked to present in the auditorium."

Kara hummed, intrigued by the boy's invitation, lately she had been attendig various of his school related things, she was growing used to it by now, even Her boss seemed unfazed by the Boy's constant contact with the assistant turned reporter.

the Kryptonian nodded her head and smiled, "I'd love to Carter, What's it about? Are the three of you working on different things? and When'll it be?", the blonde half rambled as she seemed to be filled with excitement.

The Teenager chuckled as he tucked the soil and worm filled transparent container under his arm, his eyes lit up, "It'll be on space! and The presentation'll be on Friday, at 5:30, It'll only be about an hour or two for the three of us to finish, you can leave after mine if you'd like, and We're all working on different things, I'm doing Earth! and how it amazing it is that earth was able to sustain life and all that other junk.", the boy was brimming with excitement and happiness that the blonde seemed happy to go.

Both were now walking through the park, they were heading back to CatCo.

Kara and Carter somehow managed to slip passed Cat and Snapper, both of them ran off to the park to get something Carter needed for his latest science project, Kara and Carter both got a bit dirty, dirt was under their nails and in between their fingers due to using their hands to dig for some soil that contained the wiggly worms Carter had to get his hands on.

The blonde mentally began to prepare herself for a scolding from the CEO.

it's only been a week and a half since Cat had returned to claim her company back from James, she admitted that she was pretty uncomfortable just sitting around and doing nothing, so, she returned back to her media empire.

"Oh snap!", Kara said all of a sudden as she paused in her steps, her and Carter just on the side walk across from CatCo.

Carter turned to the Woman, "What's wrong, Kara?"

The Kryptonian pouted, she turned to Carter with a small frown, "Oh, Buddy I just remembered something. I actually gotta meet up with someone on Friday", she rose a hand and put it behind her neck, she rubbed her the area sheepishly.

Carter seemed to sadden a bit. "Oh...So you won't be able to come huh...", he looked disappointed.

and Kara couldn't have that, so she thought of something.

"Hmm", Blue eyes met with those of the younger boy's, "Unless...If you wouldn't mind, Could I bring the person?", Kara would improvise.

And once again, Carter's eyes lit ul, he smiled widely,"Yeah! It's cool, bring the person!"

the kryptonian Smile once again, "Alright then, I'll show up then."

"Yes!", the boy fist pumped, not bothering to hide his excitement.

Even after Cat had gone on her half a year vacation, Carter somehow still contacted her, Even Cat was surprised when she one day walked in on her son Talking to Kara on the phone...well, Kara and Winn.

more like, they were facetiming.

Carter was caught off guard when Cat suddenly took the phone out from his grasp, Cat smirked as she saw two familiar faces with shocked scared expressions on their faces.

"Kiera, Hobbit, My sons's a growing child, Mind continuing the alien talk another day?"

"Ah! Uh, Ms. Grant! Uh, y-yeah, uh, Night Buddy!", Kara yelped nervously as she gave Winn some screen time, she quickly left.

Winn looked nervous, "Uh-Heh, Uh, Keep up the good work, Kiddo and sleep tight, uh, Ms. Grant", Winn bid the two Grants goodbye and oddly enough passed the phone to another group of figures.

"Is that the Cat Grant! Holy snap, she's ho-unnnggh!", a woman with black hair appeared but was quickly pushed off the screen.

Cat looked amused, just how many people were at her former assistant's loft? and Was Carter friends with all these older people? What the hell...

"Ah...Grant", came a familiar Danvers, the brunette had furiously shoved the ravenette outta the screen just a few moment prior.

Cat hummed and waved, "Agent, How long has my son been chatting with the lot of you?"

Alex shrugged, "He called Kara and well, we're all here", Alex turned the phone to show the many figures in Kara's loft, they all waved or rose their beers or wine glasses...wait, wine glasses...

Cat seemingly waved, she looked over her shoulder to give Carter a glance, he smiled rather sheepishly, she then turned back to the screen, her eyes found a few familiar faces, "Is that Bruce Wayne, and...A Luthor somewhere in the corner with Kara and Clark Kent?", The woman looked surprised.

Alex nodded, "yep. and really wish Luthor wasn't here...but you didn't hear that from me, uh, anyways, the party's just getting started, Tell the kid we all said bye. Good night, Ms. Grant."

Cat nodded, and the call ended, she turned to her son and began to question him, and he answered it all.

But Cat was certainly taken aback when Carter answered her question as to why he always somehow kept in contact with the woman.

Cat was pretty shook.

"She's like the big sister I never had. She's super cool and smart, she's like you, and I don't find a lot of people that actually think I'm cool too."

Kara and Carter were both stepping out of the elevator. Each step to the CEO's office made Kara slightly nervous, this would be the Tenth time since Cat's return that Kara would surely be scolded due to following allow with Carter's antics.

but as the duo got closer and closer to the bullpen, Kara began to notice and odd silence. Carter didn't notice of course, but the blonde certainly did. And the lack of workers definitely made Kara feel a bit...on edge all of a sudden.

Carter turned to Kara, "Hey, Kara, do you think Mom's gonna be mad at us?"

the blonde remained silent, her facial features darkened as she and Carter were reaching the corner, she began to feel an aprehensive feeling rising within her, she frowned heavily as she stepped ahead of Carter suddenly, she reached out and put her hand against his chest as she stepped ahead of him right at the corner.

the boy hummed when he felt Kara's hand keep him back rather strongly, "K-Kara-", and just like that, Carter's words died out in his throat as Kara turned the corner, the barrel of a gun pressed against the side of her head.

Carter froze, and he felt Kara then shove him away.

"Annngh!?", the teen dropped his container and tripped up slightly.

"KARA!", Came a voice Carter knew too well...his mother's voice

right before his eyes, Kara without hesitation smacked the gun out of the gunman's hand, the male growled and launched himself at her. Carter's eyes opened in fear as he gathered himself, he wanted to help Kara, and as he took a step to Kara and the man.

Kara turned to him, "CARTER RUN!"

the teen's eyes watered up and he did what was told of him, he ran.

"Shit, we got a runner!", the male shoved Kara aside and gave chase after the teen.

and as Kara was about to stop the man from going after the teenager, the blonde very quickly found herself staring down the barrel of another gun.

from the corner of her eye, she noticed Cat and James, both were being held up by another male, she noticed all the males wore masked, they all had guns, and in total, there were three.

"I wouldn't try anything funny, Blondie.", the male spoke with a muffled tone due to the mask.

Kara gritted her teeth, if the man got Carter...he'd hurt the boy.

"What do you want?", Kara spoke rather angrily, as she felt the gun press to her forehead, she didn't flinch or weaver.

the male hummed, "You're a weird one. Are you trynna die? You ain't in a position to ask any questions."

The blonde's jaw moved dangerously hard as she gritted her teeth, her fists balled up, she was ready to punch this guy through the wall, she was ready to smash the other guy pointing a gun at Cat and James, into the ground, she wanted to bury the man that had ran after Carter.

the masked gunman pressed the gun a little harder against Kara and signaled for her to move.

Kara reluctantly cooperated. she was stepping back to where Cat and James were, hands folded behind their heads, the gun was pushing against her head, her eyes not leaving the masked male's own through the holes in the mask.

"Down.", he commanded Kara to her knees beside Cat. "I got a feeling you don't care about what happens to you, but I fancy thinking that you're considerate enough to cooperate for the Lives of others. Yeah?", the man then abruptly turned the gun to Cat, and Kara's eyes widened, she was fast, really fast, she needed to act now.

And Kara moved, but as she moved, she froze when she heard James and Cat gasp at the sounds of whimpering and struggling.

The gunman hummed as he turned to look over his shoulder, he chuckled darkly.

"No...", Kara felt fear build in her.

"Carter!", Cat yelled, her voice broke at the sight of her son's body drapped over the tall man's shoulder, Carter whimpered as he gave up on struggling.

The gunman whom was clearly, the leader, turned back to Cat, raising the gun to her again, but this time both James and Kara moved to act as shields to the CEO.

"Stop!", Kara growled out, "Put him down, it's not too late to turn back now! You can all just walk out of here, no one has to get hurt!"

The blonde covered Cat from the front, she was posing as the front shield, James was on Cat's left side, shielding her from the other gunman.

the gunman sneered and then rose his gun only to bring across Kara's face, to which kara acted like it hurt and brought her down to bruing her face in hands, her Glasses fell to the floor beside the gunman's shoe.

Cat gasped in shock, "Stop, Stop! I'll give you whatever you want! anything!", the CEO who was usually prideful in the face of danger was now being reduced to a pleading, crying and begging mess, Her son was on the line, and she couldn't lie, the fact that two of her workers were actively trying to shield her from gun fire was rather touching.

Two people whom she had grown to actually like, were willing to throw their lives away fpr hers.

The man with a whimpering Carter over his shoulder grumbled, "That's a good offer, say, how's about a trade? this snobby brat for some cash? no cops, or he dies."

The gunman that had pistolwhipped Kara across the face, grunted, "Can I Kill this blonde? She's gotten on my last nerve."

the other man whom was silent until then, spoke, "No, now let's move."

James growled as he took a glance at Kara, her face was buried in her hands, no doubt to protect her secret.

Cat nodded rather fast, "Anything, name the price, I'll give it to you, please, just leave us, and don't hurt my boy.", Cat's hands found themselves against Kara's unusually tense back.

The three males nodded their heads, "Sounds like a plan, you have till 8 O'clock tonight, 50 million 'big ones', We'll send you the directions, come alone, and you get your brat back."

The CEO nodded her head in defeat, her hands found their way to Kara's stiff broad shoulders, she gave the shoulders a squeeze.

Kara was boiling with anger, struggling to contain it.

the gunman clicked his teeth, "I hate blondes", he murmured and began to make his way to the man with Carter, the other man followed.

"and don't think about calling the cops within the next 10 minutes, or else the deal's off and 'off' goes the kid."

with that, the men began to leave.

Kara began to hear the three running away, no doubt to create distance.

but Kara wouldn't let them get too far.

No, not with Carter in their Grasp.

a boy so full of life, with plenty to give. Kara wouldn't allow for a single chance for that Life to be cut short, she'd be damned if she allowed for Carter to even get hurt at their hands.

The men's foot steps faded away after what seemed to be five minutes of silence.

Cat and James not moving, afraid that if they did, the gunmen wouldn't be too happy about not getting a chance to get away.

Kara grunted and then abruptly stood up.

she could hear Cat's heart racing, she knew that if anything happened to Carter, Cat would suffer greatly.

James stood up as soon as he noticed Kara just stand there, hands were balled up tightly, too tight.

Cat muffled her own sob, she hated being weak, but this time she couldn't be anything other. Her son was at stake here, god, she was so grateful that Kara and Carter were gone, she hoped that they'd be gone longer.

but they came.

As Cat stood up on shaky legs, she stared at Kara's back, Kara looked down, her glasses were on the floor in front of her.

James sighed heavily, it was oddly ironic, two crime fighters in the same room, yet they allowed for a hostage to be taken.

"I think the 10 minutes are up, I'll get the police on the line", James broke the silence and turned towards Cat's messed up office.

Cat gave a shaky breath as she reached out to place a hand against Kara's hard back, she felt the younger woman's body tense.

"Kara...Kara are you alright, you were hit in the face pretty hard", she said with a hoarse tone.

Kara nodded her head, "I should have protected him better.", the blonde spoke through Her clenched teeth.

The older blonde was taken aback slightly, how? the CEO wondered, how would her former assistant whom probably weighed no more than 130lbs take on a built, tall, male that most likely weighed doubled as much as Kara did.

"I...The money, they'll release him once they get the money, And the cops'll-"

Kara shook her head, "Who's to say they won't hurt him now? that when you go to drop off the money, they won't grab you too and hurt you? Carter is at their mercy They'll hurt him, no doubt about it, we don't hve much time.", the woman swollowed thickly.

She heard James contacting the NCPD

Cat rose an eyebrow, she began to feel her heart race in her chest even more, "Kara."

Kara sucked in a breath and turned to Cat in a swift movement, her glasses no longer on her face, Cat's hand was still reaching out, her finger tips now against Kara's chest.

"I'll get him.", she said in a serious tone, her eyes not leaving Cat's.

as the blonde locked eyes, James looked up from the phone and tensed at the sight of Kara without her glasses.

Cat was taking in her former assistant's facial features, "How?"

Cat had seen Kara without her glasses before, back then when she was convinced Kara was supergirl, but she was proven wrong when Kara and Supergirl showed up at the same place at the same time.

unless...

"I shouldn't have let them take Carter in the first place, I should have taken those men down before this situation escalated any further.", The kryptonian's eyes then looked passed Cat's shoulder to James, he looked on intensely.

"How...how could you have stopped it?"

The blonde gave James a small nodded, James seemingly nodded in a disapproving manner.

but Kara insisted, and she did what she should have done a long time ago.

"I'll be Back, Ms. Grant.", the kryptonian then stepped away from Cat and brought both of her hands to her button up's top button, and she tore the shirt open, buttons popping apart as Kara opened the shirt harshly, underneath the shirt was quite the surprise, Cat's eyes fell onto a familiar symbol of hope.

"Supergirl", Cat said in slight awe as well as shock and quite a bit of relief.

James sighed out, "Kara, Alex is so going to have our heads for this.", James hung up the phone.

Cat turned to James, "Agent Scully?"

Kara finished tearing her shirt off, she worked off the pants and in just a few moments, Kara was now her alter-ego.

"I'll explain later, Ms. Grant, Just let me get Carter back.", the reporter now looked confident in her suit, she floated off the floor slightly and made her way to the office's balcony.

Cat followed behind, "Kara, Kara...please, bring him back safe. and you owe me that talk."

Kara smiled softly and nodded, as she was outside on the balcony, she waved off, "Of course, Ms. Grant", and With that Kara hopped over the balcony's rail and flew off.

With Kara disappearing, Cat turned to James, the wind blowing a cold breeze passed her, "So, am I the last to know? I mean, I was onto the fact, but she somehow managed to throw me off."

James sighed out, "Don't take it personal, Kara just wanted to protect you and Carter. anyone who knows about her is bound to be a target."

the CEO nodded her head, arms crossing across her chest in understanding, of course Kara had a understandable reason why she kept lying to her, she wasn't so mad, and if she was, at least Carter would be safe in Kara's care, so she'd relax at that thought.

"Oh Kara."

Carter was terrified, he was in a car, all tied up, he was sore already and it was only ten minutes into the drive through the city.

he felt horrible, Kara tried to protect him, and he saw how Kara tried to protect his mother, that alone made his chest warm up. He really enjoyed being around Kara, he wouldn't have ever imagined that he'd grow close to an older person. especially one of his mother's assistants...well, Kara was now a reporter, but when he met her, she was an assistant.

as the boy was in what he thought would probably be his last thoughts, the car he was suddely came to a halt, everyone in the car gasped in surprise.

"what the hell!?-" as the driver spoke, the driver's side door opened and he was roughly pulled out and tossed.

the two other men gasped in surprise as the roof of the car was suddenly torn open by a certain super.

The man closest to Carter was pulled out and tossed out as well.

"a Little birdie told me you don't like blondes"

the man whom was left in the car was no doubt the same man that said he disliked blondes.

Carter smiled at the sight of the Superhero, "Supergirl!"

Kara grinned and pulled Carter out, leaving the stunned man inside the car.

"Wait here, buddy. I've gotta take care of these clowns."

Carter nodded his head when Supergirl used her heat vision to cut his binds, he was free, slight soreness in his wrists and ankles.

and he watched with amusement as the thugs were all 'taken care of'.

"How does my body do this?", Carter spoke with curiosity, he had an arm around Kara, and Kara had an arm around him, the two were going towards CatCo.

Kara made quick work of the thugs, ensuring that Carter was safe was also a success.

Kara smiled softly, a hand was reached out as she directed where she was flying. "I have no clue to be honest, Buddy. Scientists tried figuring it out, but they couldn't, even I can't figure it out.", the blonde super grinned as she noticed how intrigued Carter was at how his body seemed to float alongside hers. Her words were true, she had yet to figure it out, even Clark didn't know the facts himself. The question was first brought up by Alex, when Kara had first Taken Alex flying with her, the brunette was quite curious about how a Super's body worked, and so, Kara opted to allow Alex to 'study' her since she trusted Alex more than those other random DEO agents.

"Superman can't answer the question either."

Carter was in awe, "It's so nice up here, You're so lucky to be able to fly, How cool would it be to just fly around the world and see it from above. Man This is so cool", the teen gushed as he reached an arm out.

Kara smiled softly, her blue eyes looked at him tenderly, they were filled with fondness, "Maybe someday I can take you out for a Fly-about, of course, If your mother doesn't somehow get her hands on Kryptonite and kill me herself.", the blonde chuckled nervously.

The boy laughed, "Mom Wouldn't kill you, you saved me, She'll be all over you after this, Supergirl. and I'm Totally sure mom wouldn't mind you taking me for a Fly-about, she'd feel safe about letting you take me, you're like the most strongest being on this planet."

The super nodded, "Maybe, but mothers always worry about their children no matter who they're with, and your mother truly cares and loves you, Carter, she'll always be on edge."

The teen nodded as he turned his head to look at The hero directly, "Well, she doesn't really worry when I go out with Kara, her former Assistant. She seems to like Kara spending time with me."

the super rose an eyebrow, "R-Really, Wow..."

Carter smiled, "Between you and me, I think mom has a soft spot for Kara, ever since the train incident...but you didn't hear that from me of course", the boy snickered.

The blonde's cheeks warmed up, she nodded and allowed for her lips to curl into a smile, she spoke, "Well, Kara Danvers and Cat have grown close over the passed two years, slow, but they grew closer to each other."

the air swooshed around them as Kara and Carter were almost at CatCo.

Carter nodded, "Yeah, I was a bit surprised you know, Kara was the only assistant that lasted that long, and she actually cared about my mom, all the others were all mean or just plain with attitudes, and mom hated them all", the boy added a small nervous huckled at the end of his sentence, "But Kara's totally cool. She even goes to my school stuff, she even thinks science is cool."

Supergirl was in awe, the boy really thought of her like that, "I'm sure Kara Danvers also cares about you too, Carter, She cares about both of you."

Carter blushed slightly, "Is she alright by the way? She tried to stop them from taking me, but she was shoved down."

the super nodded, she looked forwards, "She's fine, she and James made sure your mother was okay." the kryptonian then returned her look to Carter, "Say, we can have a short Fly-about now if you want, just to relax yourself, I know that it isn't easy being captured and almost completely kidnapped."

The boy's eyes lit up, "Seriously?"

Kara nodded, "Get on my back", she chuckled.

and get on Kara's back Carter did, he straddled her back, and he sat up, slightly nervously and afraid, after all, the only thing between him and the pavement a good hundreds of feets below, was a certain blinde haired kryptonian.

"Wow", he said shakily, his hands on her shoulder blades. He looked around and saw the city.

Kara now reached both of her arms out as she flew, this was the first time she allowed for someone to be on her back, she only allowed Alex for Fly-abouts, but never had the brunette taken the ride on her back, Alex would just cling to Kara's side as they flew.

The boy was clearly enjoying himself, he quickly got comfortable with Supergirl, maybe because she was a hero.

"How do fly? how do you have your powers? OhMyGosh, I mean, if you don't want to answer, sorry."

Supergirl laughed as the air blew passed them, "It's fine, I don't mind answering actually.", the super felt happy, "Earth's yellow sun gives me my powers."

The boy smiled as he saw that just up ahead CatCo was coming into view. "That's cool...where did you come from? If you don't mind answering".

quite the personal question, but Kara didn't mind, Carter was a boy with the need to know it all, all things science-y and all of course. "Krypton.", she answered softly.

The boy hummed, words gathering in his mouth, but he halted himself and instead said something else, "Is superman from there too?"

Kara nodded, "Yeah, He's my Cousin actually."

"Awesome, So that's why you two wear the 'S' and all, and you two have virtually the same powers.", the boy began to grow quiet.

Kara merely hummed, "We're here.", the super said as she slowed down.

the two entered the open balcony door and slipped into the office, where Cat literally jumped from where she was.

Supergirl remained in her flight position and merely floated with Carter still on her back, she lowered herself to the floor slightly.

"Carter!", Cat yelled out.

James smiled softly, arms crossed over his chest.

The Girl of Steel felt Carter hop off, his feet made contact with the floor, he and Cat both met halfway and they hugged tightly.

"The Girl of Steel saved the day again huh.", Came a male voice.

Kara hummed and turned away from the reunited mother and son, she straightened herself and floated still.

"Mr. Carr.", her blue eyes then flickered to another figure, and her eyes widened slightly, "Lena-", the Super nearly facepalmed and corrected herself, "-Ms. Luthor."

Snapper turned to James, "NCPD'll be here in a bit right."

James nodded, "Yeah, They just got to the thugs and took them in."

While the two males engaged in Chatting, the Luthor woman gave the Super her attention, "Where's Kara? They said she got smacked around."

Kara almost scoffed, but reframed, "Ms. Danvers is fine. No need to worry about her-"

Snapper butted in, "Ponytail stared down the barrel of a gun, and played Shield for Cat over there, she's real Ballsy, I didn't expect that from her."

James smirked, "You'd be surprised, Kara's a tough cookie."

The super glared at James for a moment.

Lena looked rather Awe-struck, "She...played shield?"

Snapper pointed to Cat, "Cat was freaking out at the fact that these two were so set on staring down a gun for her."

Kara waved a hand, "Kara Danvers would stare down a gun for anyone", the super chimed in with the wiggle of a finger, her feet made contact with the floor.

Cat and Carter both shared some words still.

the Luthor woman looked at the super closely, "A trait Kara has that just seems to amaze me.", the woman's emerald eyes met Kara's blue ones, Kara felt her throat close for a moment.

Snapper rose an eyebrow, "Well, Ponytail's certainly enarmored quite a few CEO's"

Lena's eyes snapped wide and she turned to Snapper, she glared at him, "Excuse me?"

Cat gave Carter a pat on the head and she joined the trio.

"Knock it off, Lucus.", Cat said.

James was rather holding back a look of disapproval.

Carter was beside Cat.

Snapper shrugged under the Luthor's glare.

Kara's cheeks warmed up, "Uh-Heh"

Lena returned her look to the Super. "where'd Kara go?", she pressed.

Cat looked at James, and James subtly shrugged.

Carter butted in, "Yeah, Where's Kara?"

Kara...'Supergirl', felt cornered under their gaze, "Uh...I-"

"I sent her home early, She wasn't showing it, but I was sure she was quite shaken up by what took place.", Cat intervened.

Snapper rose an eyebrow, he was going to speak, but was cut off.

"Excuse us.", came a hard voice.

The five turned to a group of armed 'FBI'.

"Agent Danvers.", Supergirl spoke first.

the sounds of shuffling came about as the 'FBI' scattered about to look around.

Cat's eyes landed on the Danvers woman, she knew why the woman was here. "Agent".

James sighed softly and gave Alex a knowing look.

Alex looked and found Lena and Snapper with risen eyebrows.

"Danvers? as in Kara Danvers's sibling or something?", Snapper was slightly surprised.

Alex nodded, "Yes, Anyways, let's get to the point, I need everyone but Ms. Grant, Olsen, and Supergirl out of here."

Cat sighed, "What about my son?"

Alex gave the woman an apologetic look, "I can have someone drop him off home or something, or he could stay with the NCPD officers that are coming up in a bit."

Carter hummed and looked at his mother, "It's cool, Mom, I wanna go home anyways."

Cat felt a bit on edge, "Fine, but I don't want him alone."

Alex understood, she nodded, "I'll have some of my men stick around your place just in case."

The CEO nodded, "Okay", she gave Carter a kiss on the forehead.

he blushed and began to step towards the agents waving at him.

Alex turned to Lena and Snapper, "You two gotta go.", she said with a more firm expression.

Kara crossed her arms across her chest, "Ms. Luthor?", the super spoke up before anyone else shifted.

Lena turned to the super, "Supergirl?"

"only for emergencies, yeah?", a small smirked grew on the super's lips.

Lena's cheeks burned a pink hue and she smiled sheepishly, "What I consider an 'emergency' might different from what you consider one, keep that between us.", the Luthor rose a finger to her lips and turned around, still slightly embarrassed by something that only the Super and she knew.

Snapper kept his eyebrow raised, he grumbled something along the lines of 'Damn CEO's always going for Blondes', he crossed his arms over his chest, leaving.

As Carter was finally beside an agent, Kara then turned to the boy's back, she called out.

"Oh and Carter."

the boy and the agent turned around.

Lena and Snapper stopped in their steps for a moment to see what the super was going to say to the teen.

Carter hummed, "Yeah?"

"It's not an 'S'.", she said as she pointed to her chest.

The boy's lips curled into a smile, "Really."

the super nodded, hands on hips now, she looked proud.

Carter grinned, his interest peaked once again, "Maybe you can come by sometime and we can talk about Krypton?"

Cat's eyes softened considerably. Kara wasn't now only in Her son's life as some ordinary person, but now as a Super.

Alex tensed for a moment as she looked over her shoulder to the boy. James merely smiled lightly.

Lena was in awe all of a sudden.

Kara grinned, flashing her teeth, "Yeah, Maybe I can get Superman to drop by too."

The teen kept his giant grin on his face, "Totally!"

the agents all wore light expressions.

Snapper hummed and turned back to walking out of the area. Lena stared on for a few minutes.

Any kid Ms. Grant's son's age would be estatic to be so close to a super, to be able to hear stories from a super's home planet and origin.

Lena turned away, ready to leave.
