Avery Angus - POV:

When i awoke i was on a mountainous region, naked and in human form. I curled up and cried as i remembered what happened to my friends.

As soon i was composed i stood up and looked at my surroundings, realising that I was in a large nest. I began trekking down the hills, collecting berries and edible fruits as i went. For 2 weeks i searched before i came upon a town of Oakhevia. From here it was easy to get back to the guild.

Arriving there I was surprised to find that I had walked into my own funeral. Four coffins lay, Jin,Cry and Kain occupying three and one with my own picture. The mourners were taken aback when I was noticed. My closer guild mates came to me crying.

"W-We thought....." one stammered

"Th-They c-couldn't find you." another cried out.

"How?" yet another questioned.

"I don't know," i muttered. Why did i survive? How did i get in the mountains anyway? After seeing my friends to the afterlife i took an extended break from working at the guild. I lived life one day at a time.

Later i learned that the particular Crystal Dragon that was spotted at the swamp was not a dragon at all but the first known hybrid of a Dragon and a Wyvern, dubbed a Dragvern. Not that knowing this changed anything.

As the days passed i noticed that my stomach had become larger. Shrugging it off as my lack of physical activity i continued life as normal. It was only after missing four periods that i became suspicious.

The following morning i decided to visit a doctor, one of the best in the kingdom infact. As i sat waiting for the results of the test, i became uneasy after 1 hour, 2 hours then 3 hours passed without word. Finally the doctor ushered me in his office. He looked at me grimly, seeming puzzled in his head as he wrote on a booklet. Finally he broke the ice.

"Ms. Angus," he said, "you aren't carrying any human child in you."

I was somewhat relieved. Why was i even worried? I was a virgin after all.

"What happened to you in that dragon encounter?" He suddenly inquired.

"I don't really remember, i kind of blacked out," i replied, "Why?."

He looks at me occasionally glancing about the room as if thinking. After a few minutes, he opens up, "My dear, you have a dragon's child within you."
