In the kingdom of Fiore, in the city of Magnolia, inside a tower lies an imprisoned woman, peacefully sleeping inside a glass lidded coffin. Every adventurer comes to her asking for assistance for a long journey, believing the lady may give them help. Legends have passed her on  as the “sleeping goddess”.

One Day, Natsu, an adventurer from the city, heard that there was  a way to bring back the lady. He'd risk everything to see that beautiful woman with white hair back to life, even if that meant disgusting the lady that loved him.

Even thought she tricked me and I hated it, I had somehow ended up seeing her everyday. The way she moved, the way she sang, the way she looked at me had only hooked me into wanting to keep her. She is one of the only people who understand me. Who truly cares for me. Yet I could only treat her like she is nothing.

Lucy and Natsu have been dating for a few months when they both realize it's not working out. They break up but remain friends. Lucy finds out Natsu has feelings for Lisanna. She talks to Master Makarov and decides to let Lisanna take her place on the team so she & him can begin dating.
Lucy also decides to join the newly reformed guild exchange program in hopes of becoming stronger. Makarov agrees and she is assigned to Sabertooth with the special job of helping Sting reform the guild and teaching him how to run a guild. She agrees and sets off for a one year program. She will return home every other month for two weeks to report to her master and after one year she can continue the program or graduate.

He is a player, so I shouldn't like him. He is my friend, so I shouldn't like him. This is my last year with him. My last hope of truly caring about someone this way. I shouldn't like him, but I can't help it.

Lucy has never really wanted to but falll for someone who had been known as a player. Not even a popular man(besides her guild mates). So what could change this year?
